About Me

Kim Newall is a licensed counselor and art therapist, and child mental health specialist working with individuals, couples and families. She maintains a private practice in Vashon, Washington and is on staff at Vashon Youth and Family Services leading the Child and Family team.

Kim is a graduate of Antioch University, Seatle with a Masters in counseling and art therapy. She co-authored the book Becoming an Art Therapist (2015) and is a contributing author in Identity and Art Therapy (2014).

Her therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. She integrates compassionate listening and effective interventions to support and promote the strengths and desires of her clients. Kim values the power of creativity to open the stuck places and reveal innnate resources for health and wholeness.
